Performance testing is a vast area of automation and during lifecycle of performance testing we will come across to various terms on regular basis. I am trying list out some of them so we can move comfortably with next level of knowledge sharing. These are more how of introduction kind. Hope it will help you a get basic picture of these terms: 1.        Response Time: A time duration when a client gets a response from server for any request or we can define it as a amount of time from the moment that a user sends a request until the time that the application indicates that the request has completed. 2.      Throughput: Throughput is   the number of transactions per second an application can handle, or the amount of transactions produced over time during a test 3.       Pacing : Time Difference between two iterations. Here I am not going explain about advantage or anything about automation over manual. I start with basic knowledge of performance which I have grabbed till now in my words.
